Frequently Asked Questions

Q:  Where are you located and what areas do you work?

A:  We are located in Leesville, South Carolina and work in both Lexington and Richland counties.

Q:  What sets All Types Home Maintenance apart from its competitors?

A:  Honesty and Dependability through Integrity, Professionalism, and Communication.

Integrity:  Simply put, we do what we say, and we say what we do.  We stand behind our work, and treat you and your home the way we want to be treated and the way we want our home treated.

Professionalism:  We strive every day to provide a level of professionalism not common in the construction industry.  We pay close attention to detail and treat you and your home with the utmost respect.

Communication:  We know that communication is paramount to a successful relationship. We value our relationships with customers by keeping you informed throughout the job.

Q:  Why should I choose a contractor licensed by the South Carolina Residential Builders Commission?

A:  South Carolina state law requires all contractors to be licensed. Contractors must undergo rigorous state testing and maintain proper insurance to be licensed. Don't risk using someone whose knowledge is untested and possibly uninsured to work on your home. Using a licensed contractor is the only choice if you want a professional job.

Q:  How do I know I'm using a licensed contractor?

A:  South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation has a licensee look up for all residential builders.  Click  here and select "Residential Builder" and then enter in the contractors name and/or license number to find if they are current and when their license is due to expire.  (Mark Thomas, license number 23494)

Q:  What kind of insurance should my contractor have? How do I know if a contractor is fully insured?

A: Contractors should have general liability insurance and should be bonded. South Carolina state law requires it. This is a great reason to use a licensed contractor – the state verifies coverage.

Q:  Why do I need a written contract?

A:  You should always insist on having a written contract before someone does work on your home or property. All Types Home Maintenance & Construction always uses a written contract. The contract spells out all of our responsibilities and yours.
